6 months of The Animal Welfare Conversation

Starting with Veterinary Nursing......

Animal Welfare Conversations is now over 6 months old, and I’ve had the chance to meet amazing people working to improve the lives of animals. I thought this would be a good time to review some of the podcasts, and highlight some of the points of interest.

So, we started the podcasts focussing on the world of veterinary nursing, catching up with Amy Lyons to find out more about vet nursing in Australia and Emma Onyejekwe diving into the world of wildlife nursing.

More recently in May, we caught up with Lacey Pitcher of the VN Times, considered hydrotherapy with Emma Ruggles and finally ended veterinary nursing awareness month talking to Sam Fontaine about veterinary nursing career paths and postgraduate training.

Animal welfare is a broad topic, and we’ve only just started to consider the different challenges that exist and how to approach that, but I hope that we’ve been able to provide information, ask questions, and highlight the great work that is already out there. It's been great to focus on the impact of veterinary nursing on animal welfare. Thank you to everyone who took part!

New episodes are being released every Friday morning – and we have some great conversations lined up. Watch this space.

If you would like us to focus on any specific topics, then please let us know!
